Funders
Moyle Community Events Network was formed by Moyle District Councils Cultural Tourism Programme which has been in operation since securing funding from the Peace II Extension fund through Moyle Local Strategy Partnership in July 2006.
The programme which is managed by the Cultural Tourism Officer concentrates on the following key areas:
-
the building of positive relationships with community groups through the establishment of the Moyle Community Events Network working together to deliver joint projects and through the provision of a training programme to help them run events in a more professional manner;
-
the development and promotion of local produce particularly within the local hospitality trade through the Menu of Moyle initiative (http://www.menuofmoyle.com/);
- the production of high quality marketing programmes to promote the events of the district through the production on the Whats on in Moyle Guide and the maintenance of the events section on the Moyle District Council website.
Moyle District Councils Cultural Tourism Programme is funded by the European Union through the Peace II Programme and managed by Moyle Local Strategy Partnership. The Cultural Tourism Programme is due to run until the end of September 2008.
