The Glens Vintage Club annual Vintage Family Fun Day is now one of the highlights on the Heart of the Glens Festival calendar.
This years
Vintage Family Fun Day will take place on Saturday 9th August 2007 10.30am to 3.30pm, f
ollowed with Vintage Road Run through the village to Waterfoot and back. We have organised a fantastic family day out, with attractions to suit all age groups. A day of fabulous fun and frolics is assured!! Some of the attractions during the event will be:
Live music all day
Toy Tractor Trials for the we ens (remember to bring your own tractor)
Climbing Wall (not for those scared of heights!)
Sand Pits
Kids Fire Engine
Chip Pan safety display by the Local Fire Brigade
Wood Sculpturing
Tractor Threshing
Straw Baling
Bouncy Castle and Large Colour Bouncy Slide
Mini Digger Challenge
Pony Rides
Poultry display and much much more...........
There is a small admission fee at the gate, however, all childrens activities are free once inside the field. We will have the annual presentation of the Neil McLaughlin Cup and awards for various classes. This will take place before the Vintage Road Run through the village which leaves Blaneys Field at around 3.30pm.
Anyone with vintage machinery, cars, motorcycles, stationary engines or implements are encouraged and welcome to exhibit their machines.
Free transport is available from the Parish Centre car park at Cushendall to Blaneys Field throughout the day.
